I want to know if there are any ways by which I can be able to convince my friend to get addiction treatment. She’s doing heroin and I’m really worried about her. She’s growing worse every day.

Well, it’s a good thing that you’re so concerned about the welfare of your friend. The thing is, a lot of drug addicts don’t realize that they have got a problem. Some will wait until they have reached rock bottom before they make the decision to get better. One thing I can think of that you do, though, is a drug intervention. This is a process aimed to get an addict to agree to undergoing treatment. You can do this with a few close friends and relatives of her, or you can seek the help of an intervention specialist to facilitate the intervention.
