Question by Doodlemeyer: Am I obligated to pay for my brother’s rehab?
My brother is 42. He’s had alcohol & substance abuse problems since his teens. He just binged last week, ending up in ICU to detox for 5 days. Now his doctor says he needs ,000 for 30 days of rehab. His 2nd wife is leaving him, taking his 3 small kids, and their finances are a mess. She’s asked me to help pay for his rehab. I’m not a rich man. I work hard, live frugally and save, so I am comfortable life, but I don’t have thousands of dollars laying around. Am I obligated to pay for all or part of his rehab?

No, it would be nice to give part, but you are not at all obligated.
