How to Control Your Speed and Stay in Your Lane on the Highway?

Question by Jeff: How to control your speed and stay in your lane on the highway?
I haven’t been on a major highway yet. I have been ON highways though.

For example I live in NJ and haven’t driven on the Turnpike or on the GS Parkway. My cousins from college are coming back home and most of them do not have cars so I am going to need to drive places and use major roads.

I will be sure to get some practice.

However, changing lanes isn’t really a primary concern. Staying in my lane IS. How the heck do you stay in your lane? I always find myself needing to look directly in front of me.

But my parents keep saying “No, you should be looking straight ahead. But sometimes if I look straight ahead, I start drifting into other lanes and missing the signs for my exit.

Another big issue is speed. I am NOT a speeder but I find myself speeding sometimes. HOW DO YOU STAY AT ONE CONSTANT SPEED WITHOUT USING CRUISE CONTROL???

That is my primary concern. Everybody does it, how the hell do you stay at 60-70 mph constantly? Do you just keep your foot on the accelerator? No one has even taught me this stuff…help!!!
