What Happens When Someone Admits to Infidelity in an Anonymous Addictions Group?

Question by Krioni: What happens when someone admits to infidelity in an Anonymous Addictions group?
What happens in an addictions recovery group that is anonymous when one member admits to cheating on their spouse, without their spouses knowledge? Are they encouraged to tell their spouse or is the spouse notified or what is the procedure on that?
Well they admit to the group anonymously that they have a problem. As far as I know they don’t need to reveal their last names or proessions to the group, or anything about their family.

hmm i have never attended one of those meetings . however i would think that person would be encouraged to tell their spouse. i believe they have the right to know . its the same aspect as when lets say its an aaa meeting . if a person is suppose to be trying to become sober and they drink … they are suppose to be comfortable enough to admit in the meeting that they had a drink .
