Why Do Drugs Users Feel More Entitled to Special Treatment Than Non Users?

Question by Traveler: Why do drugs users feel more entitled to special treatment than non users?
Research has proven beyond a shadow of doubt that cigarette smoking cause primary cancer of the kidneys and lungs. Why do so many (non-medical) people believe (and preach) that (unfiltered) marijuana is good for them and should be legalized when the affect of filtered cigarette is currently a drain on our health care costs? Do those who smoke marijuana and miss work or are unemployable because of their addiction feel that tax payers should pay more taxes to cover your health needs and your addiction? If yes, why do you feel that you are more entitled to special treatment than those who actually go to work and earn a living?
