Would It Be Considered Obstruction of Justice to Use a Sign to Warn Drivers of a Speed Trap?

Question by Gorach64: Would it be considered obstruction of justice to use a sign to warn drivers of a speed trap?
The reason I ask is because there is a speed trap about a block from my house every week. The cops that man it are incredibly rude and unforgiving. They catch upwards of about 90% of the traffic because the speed was recently reduced from 25mph to 18mph. If I made a sign and sat on the sidewalk a block or so away to warn people to slow down would I get in trouble?

If you put up a sign saying slow down then I don’t see how that would be obstruction. If you put up a sign saying warning low speed limit it wouldn’t be. If you put up a sign saying SPEED TRAP AHEAD, then it might be borderline. I know people who flash their high beams to warn of a speed trap have been ticketed for obstruction of justice. However to put up a sign saying slow down isn’t saying that there are cops ahead, it’s just a friendly warning and in the U.S. it would be covered by the 1st Amendment. I’m guessing this is from the U.S. because it doesn’t say it originates somewhere else.
