Question by wow.: Would you consider an adolescent whom has used IV drugs multiple times to need rehab?
I know a 14-year-old who has recently stopped using IV drugs after a two to three weeks binge. The person she was doing it with was put into rehab and detox. However, the adolescent’s mother thinks she is wanting to go to rehab for attention. What actions do you recommend taking?

The adolescent should have a Mental Health evaluation and appropriate treatment. It’s better to play it safe and try to take care of this before she chooses to do this again. Best Wishes.
