Would You Consider This Doing Meth?
Question by The Mind’s Eye: would you consider this doing meth?
if i just tasted i tiny crumb size rock and spit it out, not even feeling any effects from it?? is that considered “doing” meth? read on if curious to know why i ask.. or if too lazy just answer the question.
k so here is why i ask..
so i had a friend at work that did meth and i was open about it with my parents and told them i’d never do it.. now one night my friend was talking about how nasty it tasted and asked me to taste just a tiny bit.. i figured there would be no harm in touching it to my tongue for a taste and spitting it out.. and there wasn’t any harm.. felt nothing, got no addiction. kinda stupid but really no big deal long as i don’t actually DO IT.. now one night my dad got suspicious knowing i had a friend that does meth (remember i was open and honest about it) and thought because i had a nervous confused facial expression that i was on meth.. i told him i wasn’t and that he could drug test me right then and there but he kept freakin out and i started feeling guilty and stupid about tasting some, so i told him about how i only tasted it.. he flipped and took that as if i actually did meth even saying he can tell how it changed me when i never even got it in my system.. what do you think? is it considered doing a drug if you never even got it in your system? in a different perspective for example.. say if you put a chunk of pot in your mouth and spit it out not ever getting it in your system. would that be considered doing it or being on it?? and could the incident actually change me like my dad said he could see a change in me? i think he was being paranoid as hell blowing it way out of preportion considering how much self control i had and how honest i was with him about it, even offering to take a drug test on the spot.
sorry there is no drug catagory, so i put it under health.. deep breaths, you’ll survive
i respect the answers.. tho yeah they aren’t what i want to hear because i don’t agree that i did meth if i never swallowed any.. i didn’t really TRY meth because for me to try it i’d be trying it to see what it feels like to be on it.. i tasted meth.. tasted, tasted, tasted… my dad didn’t even know i tasted the meth until after he assumed i was on meth then i felt guilty and confessed that all i did was TASTE it… to each there own it could have been worse.. my dad should have drug tested me right then and their if he really was so sure i was on meth and cared so much.. did he do it? nope… i think he just wanted something to linger over me and now he’s got it.. i shoulda got a damn drug test myself and showed him the results so i don’t have to hear his bs any longer.. now i have what could have been far worse and is now in the past lingering over me all for being honest… i guess honesty isn’t the way to go.. never again
got my there* and their* swapped around.. my bad haha

As for your situation hun, please note that anything I say is not meant to offend you, just to be honest.
– I am sure that your dad did not actually see any difference in your behavior, he just was, as you say, paranoid.
– Putting something in your mouth, even a small amount for a few seconds, will get a bit of it into your digestive tract, and thus I am sure you got an extremely small amount of it inside you, so yes, I do consider that you have tried meth. Its like saying that you just smoked pot for 1 puff, and did not feel anything, therefore you did not smoke it. This is illogical. As much as u would like to believe you have never done meth, you have.
– You did not have any self-control. In fact, it was the opposite. You seem like a guy who is smart enough to know that meth is toxic, fatal, illegal, and addicting. Why would you want to put something like that near your body? Your inability to stand up for what is morally and physically right made you weak at that particular moment of your life. If you had self-control, you would have understood that your well-being is far more important than your curiosity, and not have wanted anything to do with the stuff.
– Meth is nothing to play around with. The fact that you actually gave it consideration conveys that you really aren’t very educated on the chemicals that are in it, the chemical processes that go on in your body once you do it, the long lasting toxic effects it has on your body, ……and so forth.
– If I was your mom, I’d have freaked out too. I’d have took you to an addict recovery clinic to let you see what the stuff does to peoples bodies, grounded you for eternity, never let you see that one friend of yours again, and lectured you for hours. Seriously, you said nothing about getting in any real trouble, and I think that is far more lenient (and perhaps detrimental to you) than most parents would have (and should have) been.
– I am sorry you prob do not like my answers, but what I tell you is truth sweetheart. I hope in the future you become a man….someone who is strong enough to stand up for what is right. Someone who isn’t afraid to have society perceive them as a coward for doing the right thing. Someone who understands that if their friends are trying to get them to do something so deadly, they aren’t friends of yours at all…they just want a drug buddy….they are like leeches…and are people to stay away from at all costs.
