Question by Curious: Why do people insist on putting the letter S at the end of the word methamphetamine?
Amphetamine is a drug and chemical compound of its own. Methamphetamine is a drug and chemical compound of its own. Amphetamine and Methamphetamine belong to a class of drugs known as the Amphetamines, but there is no such thing as a class of drugs called the Methamphetamines. You don’t take 4 or 5 Methamphetamines. You might take 4 or 5 GRAMS of methamphetamine, but never 4 or 5 methamphetamines. You don’t say “He was on Methamphetamines!” You may however say “He was on 3 different Amphetamines.” So why do so many people say “Methamphetamines” a word that does not exist. Yahoo Answers spell checker is even reporting that “Methamphetamines” is not a word. Anyone?
