What Weightloss Pills Really Do Work?
Question by Red28: What weightloss pills really do work?
I am on a strict diet and work out for a hour everyday, and i know most weight loss pills “work” with diet and exercise. So now that im dieting and exercising, if any, do weight loss pills REALLY work? If so which ones and what have been your results over what period of time. And please don’t ridicule me and call me stupid because im asking about weight loss pills. Its just a question.

Consider the following.
– If there was a diet pill that worked, why would obesity be an epidemic?
– If there was a diet pill that worked, why would people spend $ millions on liposuction or stomach stapling?
– If there was a diet pill that worked, why aren’t they using it on that “Biggest Loser” tv show?
– If there was a diet pill that worked, what will you do after you lose the fat? Are you going to keep taking the pill forever or do you think the fat will just magically stay gone?
– If there was a diet supplement that worked, why haven’t the huge and powerful pharmaceutical companies marketed it?
There are no diet pills that do what you probably want done. Of course there are prescription meds which may help reduce your appetite depending on how much of your appetite is biological and how much is psychogenic. Adderall is an example. However, amphetamines have been used since the 50s and before by people – the most common stereotype being the housewife who needed a pick-me-up to get through the day as well as something to keep her mind off of food. Of course, amphetamines are powerful stimulants with tons of possible adverse side effects including the potential for addiction and generally a bad idea in today’s world given the many alternatives such as endoscopic stomach stapeling, gastric bands, liposuction, tummy tucks, etc.
I guess the bottom line answer to your question is “No”.
