What Is a Catchy Phrase for “Parkinsons Diease”?

Question by Lily: What is a catchy phrase for “parkinsons diease”?
i need to write a report, and the cover page is supposed to draw the reader in. For example, if my topic was “meth” i would say “the only shots you should get are from the docter”

Parkinson’s disease is where you loose control of your hands, loose part brain control and it causes shaking.

this is for health.

While your description of Parkinson’s is not that accurate and needs to be adjusted before you write your paper, perhaps the title could be a guideline.

Parkinson’s disease doesn’t begin as the following “Shake, Rattle and Roll” or “Shakin’ All Over” but those titles do work well if you clarify them. The tremors are the first things other people really see or consider about PD. And one of the most important things a person with a chronic incurable disease needs is a sense of humor.

In the initial stages of PD when perhaps only 60% of the dopamine neurons (the neurotransmitters) have died, there is just a unilateral shaking to be seen as for some reason only one side of the body seems to be affected initially. This changes through the progression of the disease.

“Dopamine, dopamine where art thou dopamine?” not so catchy but highly accurate. Of course the actual word is “wherefore” and refers to a question of why not where.

Parkinson’s disease symptoms include tremor, stiffness and rigidity, difficulty swallowing, speaking, breathing, walking (gait) digestive tract issues, urinary problems, sexual dysfunction, vision problems, lost of sense of taste and smell, cognitive issues, depression, freezing when in motion, sleep disorders…

Here’s one from Michael J Fox which pretty much sums up how many people with PD feel when they are first diagnosed:
“You’ve probably read in People that I’m a nice guy – but when the doctor first told me I had Parkinson’s, I wanted to kill him.”

But what you describe is part of the frustration and depression of PD:
Losing Control

I’ve used this title in a blog article: “For Women PD can be a pain in the neck”. Because that is sometimes the 1st sign of PD for women.

Here’s another title I’ve used because having PD is a journey which requires planning and the assistance of other people – it requires a :
“Parkinson’s Disease Is No Day Trip” the PD Journey.

You could also describe a Day in the Life of a PD patient but stick to one stage of the disease, please – like stage 1

I think one of the catchiest ones is “What’s Shakin?” because it is an easy lead in.
