Is My Sleeping Pill Bad for Me?

Question by Jen F: is my sleeping pill bad for me?
so I’m in a “mental health facility”/psych ward at the moment.
To treat my insomnia, they put me on 10mg of temazepam. I fell asleep in 15 minutes, but otherwise it did almost nothing. So my dosage was increased to 20mg.
20mg takes me about an hour to fall asleep, and I wake up numerous times throughout the night anyway so it’s not helping all that much.
I’m being treated for depression and anxiety and an OD at the moment.
I’ve heard it’s NOT to be used for depressed patients, people with anxiety, or anyone under 18. (I’m 16).
I know they’re professionals and should know what they’re doing, but does anyone else have a bad feeling about this?
I “heard” it on numerous official drug websites, and it’s only 7pm where I am…
