Cocaine Blues – Re-post I played this on the early 1920’s 12 fret slotted peg head Parlor Guitar I found a few weeks ago. My cover is modeled after the Greenwich Village one recorded by Dave Van Ronk. This song began in post WW1 New Orleans. The VA gave cocaine to returning shell shocked Vets. This cover does not advocate nor endorse the use of cocaine. It is historical, and it is a fun song to pick too.
