The Value of Extended Care Treatment at Sober Living by the Sea – In this video, our Clinical Director Evan Miller addresses the key components of Sober Living by the Sea’s Extended Care Program. Extended Care is the bridge between primary care treatment and a sober living environment. The program uses a multi dimensional therapeutic approach to enhance the foundation of recovery that the client has built in their initial period of sobriety. The 3 phase system is designed to gradually allow women and men more and more freedom and the option to make decisions about what therapeutic processes they participate in. At all times the clients in the long term rehab program will be living in monitored residences and be routinely tested for drug and alcohol use. Studies have shown a positive correlation between time spent in a residential treatment facility and successful long term sobriety.
