Suboxone Detox- 7 years of opiate dependence – I started using heroin at age 14, started shooting up at age 16 and became very addicted to both heroin and crack until age 21. I got on methadone at age 19, suboxone at age 21 or 22 (cant remember) and I was on 24mgs of subutex during my pregnancy, 16 mgs of suboxone when not pregnant. I started detoxing after my baby was born 7 months ago. I am down to 2mgs and wondering if I should just cut myself off now? I feel crappy, but its very tolerable. I’m wondering if I am just dragging this out by continuing to tapper down? I think suboxone detox only lasts one week, and I’m down to 2mgs.
