I’ve been working there for almost 10 months and all I can say is that I hate it. I want to quit so badly, these past few weeks have been the worst for me there….I didn’t get a good score on the video shopper. So they kept cutting my hours over it. All in all I’m just sick of having to smile 24/7 and act cheerfull all the time in a sweaty disgusting place…..the manager i work with is a freaken tweaker “literally” I need to get out. I’d rather work at clothing retail store or something. Any tips onto how I can get in?

I worked at KFC about 6 or 7 months in 2001 and I hated it also. I had no breaks while the smokers had smoke breaks. You have to stay busy all the time and the manager I worked under was a yeller and screamer. I did stay busy and worked so I never got yelled at but just hearing him scream at other people got tiresome. It was draining even though I was not the one getting yelled at. I had my hours increased while other workers had theirs decreased. The hours was not a problem I just had bad training and I hated it when I was responsible for my register which was fine as long as no one else used it but the manager would put known thieves using my register and every time I would come up short but I stood my ground and told him that by hi sown admission he had caught these people stealing before I was hired and by his own admission my register is fine when I am alone on it so he needs to add 2 and 2. He did not lie being talked to that way but he knew I was right. He actually was disappointed when I did quit.
