A Cheap Thrill – (Original Song by McKenzie Ellis)
This song is dear to me… It is about me being clean and sober. Yes, I’m only 15. LYRICS: “it’s not about how i feel it’s not about who made the deal i’m just done with all those secret meetings i can’t recall these past months all i’ve felt was craves and wants i couldn’t get by… without calling my guy this goes out to all of my friends who don’t see the light in the tunnel at the end it’ll show you out i learned how now i’ve got the biggest smile on my face no, it’s not from a drug induced state it’s because i enjoy the simpler things on my way to my best just saying this gets it off my chest ignore the things that bring you down like climbing up a steep hill the reward is better than a cheap thrill if you tread water, you’ll surely drown” I wrote this song purely and truly from my heart, and I wrote it for myself, and others that have been in my life thus far and know what I am talking about. I am not an aspiring musician, so do not take my music skills so seriously. Writing music is easier for me than writing a blog, because I can let it out. 😛 CHEESY, I KNOW. But… ENJOY!
