BANGKOK (AP) — A Thai court has sentenced a Spanish woman to life imprisonment for drug smuggling. Police arrested 52-year-old Maria Nieves Garcia Alcaraz at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport on August 3, 2009, after finding 6.38 pounds (2.9 kilograms) of crystal methamphetamine in her luggage.
