Question by andy: 9th grade Biology. Need to check something with some Biology professional.?
I have some question And I did answer alll of that. If any answer can you guys help me fix it, so i could study for the quiz tomorrow:
1/What similarities do mitochondria and chloroplasts share?
Answer: They both provide energy that cell could use. Both have outer membrane and an inner membrane, have thier own ribosomes and DNA, both have been hypothesized by scientist, that they were originally free living prokayotes that were taken by larger cells. One important similiar is they both in plant cells.
2: Describe how endoplasmic reticulum, mitochondrion, and Golgi apparatus are structurally similar?
Answer: They all have membrane, (I can’t find anything else they have familiar, if you guys have help me.
3: Health. Medicine, alcohol, and manydrugs are detoxified in liver cells. Why do you think the liver cells of some people who abuse alcohol and drugs have an increased amount of smooth ER?
Answer: There are 2 kind of ER: rough and smooth. Rough one contain ribosome, and smooth one does not contain ribosomes. Using drugs and alcohol did maake the rough ER lose their ribosome which use to make protein, and protein chain, so it become smoother and smoother, and finally become smooth ER.

If any professional in Biology can help me check these answer so I could study for the quiz tomorrow. I will have to thank them alot. (I need help especially in number 2)

add to # 3: Smooth ER makes lipids and performs a variety of other specialized function such as breaking down drugs and alcohol

the first two sound good, but check your grammar. for the third one, you’re trying to hard. think about what the smooth ER does, and why you might want more of it if your job is to break down (metabolize) toxins. what does the SER store to help break down toxins?
