I’m a seventeen year old female, my mother tortures me emotionally and sometimes physically. She always calls the cops on me for no reason. She intentionally tries to humiliate me by bashing me in public and I have to go everywhere with her. I’m not allowed to hangout with friends and I”m grounded every single weekend for no reason. My boyfriends parents think that I need to move out because my mom is so abusive I’m so embarrassed because everyone in my neighborhood knows me as the girl that’s abused and I don’t know what to do anymore… My mom locks me in the house and she takes the phones away from me so I can’t talk to anyone, also she has a narcotic addiction. I’m never allowed to leave the house unless I’m going somewhere with her. I just can’t take the name calling anymore…She even says that she thinks I’m retarded and stupid I clearly know that I’m not but it just kills me when I hear her say these things. What should I do? My boyfriends aunt said that I can live with her for about four months when I turn 18 in the summer after my freshman year. Shes a really nice woman so should I go? Or should I risk not having anywhere to live? I just don’t know what to do!
My mom is so controlling that she doesn’t even let me say certain things, I can never cry because she tells me that I have a mental issue and she constantly threatens to put me in a psych ward. I can’t take the abuse and the control. I’m just trying to move on with my life so I can go to college next year.
I want to call an abuse hotline but I don’t know what will happen, will they call child protective services? I just need someone to talk to because I have no idea what to do, I’m an only child and its just me and my mom. I want to go to college next year and I don’t want anything to get messed up.
*Sorry this is so long, I just have no clue what to do*
how can you not believe all this? I would much rather be talking to a psychologist about this but like I said I’m not allowed to leave the house and the reason why my mom can not see this is because she’s sleeping and I’m home schooled and I do all my assignments on the computer. Thats why
Listen LT I don’t need your advice if your going to sit here on the internet and accuse me of lying. I don’t see why I would come on here and lie about everything I just said. I’m not looking for pity I’m looking for help. I’ve had a my boyfriend for a year, way before my mom started taking narcotics so stop making accusations that I’m a liar. Stop responding to my answer before I report you.

If anything you say is true.. this is not right. but from what you said, how did you have time to type such a long statement on the computer with out her seeing you or knowing? And now you’ll check for the answers given. Somehow I have a hard time believing all this.
( how can I not believe what you said…. just take a good look at what you stated… and you have a boyfriend too, how do you have a boyfriend you don’t see, can’t call and can’t go out with… now would you believe this. You say one thing then say another thing so only one statement can be true. If you are truthful to yourself you won’t even believe this rant/question yourself.)
