Question by winky: How long does a diphenhydramine (benadryl) overdose last?
i only ask because i had really bad hives yesterday and i drank an entire bottle of children’s benadryl. i definitely felt the symptons last night and i experienced all the signs of an overdose. i took the benadryl at 2pm yesterdayand it’s now 8:30 pm the next day. would it still be in my system? i still feel somewhat sleepy but nothing like yesterday. all the other symptoms have gone away. also, if the pills did any damaged i would still be in pain, right?

Benedryl “hangover” is fairly common. If you take to much it will make you drowsy throught the next day. You should feel better tomorrow.
