Question by B: Will ephedrine show up on a drug test?
I have been taking an ECA stack for fat loss which is 25mg of ephedrine, 200mgs of caffeine and 80mgs of aspirin. I have a pre employment screening for a factory job, I am not to sure what the screening consists of though so I am not sure if there is even a drug test. I have heard ephedrine can cause a false positive for amphetamines, if this is true should I tell the tester before hand that I have taken ephedrine? I can even bring in the bottle to show them it if that would be better, ephedrine is legal in Canada and you can just go buy it from a pharmacy or supplement store.

They screen for illegal drugs. They are not concerned about ephedrine. You have to take high doses for it to show on most tests. The link is to a site that discusses ephedrine.

If the test you take is sensitive enough to show ephedrine as amphetamine, the results will be much lower than for someone who is actually taking amphetamine. You will be in the allowable level.

There would be no point in bring in the bottle. An amphetamine abuser could do the same thing and claim he was taking ephedrine.
