What the Reason for This Odd Behavior From a Guy I Had Been Dealing With for a Long Time?

We decided to get back together after he got out of cocaine(crack) rehab,6 months later he ‘s not feeling well and calls me over to his apt to ,check on him,his ex is there and she starts going off saying she has been living with him,well,he’s doubled over in pain and says why would he call me over if she lived there,well to make a long story short ,his sister comes over and decide to take him to the emergency room ,i leave the hyosp and go home only to find out from his sister that he suffered a heart attack from cocaine use and will undergo major heart surgery. i visit him thru-out his recovery and rehabilitation from the major surgery,when he gets back on his feet he wines and dine me and send me roses every fweek.After planning a romantic outing together i call to verify our date and his ex answers his phones and says shes living with him at his new place ,she puts him on the phone and he says to me ”don’t call here anymore”Wtf can anyone explain what his trip was/
