What Is an Assessment for Chemical Dependency?

My university lists as one of their punishments for marijuana possession, in their words, “assessment for chemical dependency.” I wasn’t able to find more information about it in their policies. Does this mean it’s a drug test? If it were, wouldn’t they just say drug test?

It is a university, honey. They like to say things very loftily, such as, “assessment for chemical dependency” when they mean drug test. Flexing vocabulary leads to higher education. Possessing marijuana just leads to higher. LOL!
