is it the natural plant/seed type ingredients or is it some chemical drug kind of thing they put in the pills? are the natural ingredients put in there and on the box for sale purposes?

Usually caffeine or some other stimulant to raise your metabolism. Metabolife and others like it used to have ephedra. Unfortunately it was also a prime ingredient for meth, so that’s gone now. Most of the other ingredients are probably not particularly effective if they are not stimulant in nature. Notice the labels are careful to suggest results with moderate diet and exercise are best. You can do that without the pill.
Don’t be fooled by “Natural Ingredient” claims. In the end, a chemical is a chemical regardless of source. What matters is dosage and balance with other ingredients as to how the body absorbs them. There are plenty of harmful things in nature. Besides, as we know with wheat and sugar, natural things can be refined to unnatural states quite readily.
There is also Alli (Orlistat) which blocks fat absorption. That has some nasty side effects if you are not careful.
Your body requires remarkably little in the way of calorie intake. If you try to take yourself down to 1200-1500 calories (which is what Weight Watchers basically does) you will realize how much more we eat than we need to. There are few shortcuts.
Remember Subway’s Jared? Yeah, he ate a sandwich for 2 meals a day every day. They forget to tell you that he walked to restaurant and back for every one of them.
