What Do You Do Without Family?

Question by retrobw: What do you do without family?
I do not have parents, my father overdosed when I was in 7th grade and my mother is nowhere to be found. My grandparents adopted me as their own, but have always spent more time and money on their real children, who abuse drugs and alcohol openly.
I am approaching my junior year in college, living with my loving boyfriend, soon to be husband, and am 8 weeks pregnant, and extremely happy.
My grandparents have made it clear that my pregnancy is worse that their son’s drug habit and their son’s death from drugs (my dad), and they want nothing to with me.

What do you do when you have no family. I know I am making a family of my own, but has anyone been a situation like mine? Has anyone had to just start all over? I consider myself a strong woman, just wish I had a family to back me up.

i had the same problem my shrink told me to stop tryi n to have a relationship w/ them cause ur just gonna hurt you more and more their love is conditional not unconditional love that means they love you and have sumthin to do w/ you IF UR BEIN PERFECT AND AT THE FIRST SIGN OF ANY THIN NOT EXACTLY RITE IN UR LIFE THEY CUT U LOOSE BEEN THERE LET GO!!!!!!!
