What Do U Think of ICE Arrests Drug Felon Who Tried to Get Public Aid for Kids Why Wouldnt They Come 2 Door ?

ANAHEIM – An undocumented immigrant’s inquiry into public assistance for his child culminated in his arrest early Monday on the west side of the city. Officials say they discovered that he’d re-entered the country illegally after he was convicted on several drug charges in the 80s and 90s, Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents reported.

Julio Cruz-Real, of Guerrero, Mexico, could face several years in prison if convicted of re-entering the country illegally after he was deported, ICE officials reported.

ICE agents descended on the 1800 block of Greenleaf Ave. handling guns and in full uniform at about 6 a.m. after receiving a tip and performing surveillance of the home he was suspected of staying at, ICE officials reported.

“This was not just a random enforcement action,” ICE spokeswoman Virginia Kice said. She added that ICE officials are increasingly targeting dangerous illegal immigrants.

During a phone interview, Celia Alonso, Cruz-Real’s wife, said that the family was asleep when ICE agents knocked on the door in the morning. She said the agents said they were looking for a Juan Gomez and since no one with that name resides there, the family didn’t open the door.

After ICE agents got a warrant, at around 11 a.m., Alonso said the agents came in yelling orders that everyone should drop to the floor and that everyone inside complied: herself, her husband, her three children ages 5, 14 and 17, her adult son and his wife, her twenty-something nephew and her grandchildren ages 2 and 7.
