What Could I Do to Help Stop Child Abuse as a Senior Girl Scout?
Question by ♥Tami: What could I do to help stop child abuse as a senior Girl Scout?
(Plese no dumb answers making fun of me or girl scouts. I really need some ideas)
I’m a 15 year old girl scout (don’t ask) and i’m working on my gold award. That’s like a really big 4 year project. Some people build shelters or send books to 3rd world countries.
I really want to do something to help stop child abuse. I read the book ‘A Child Called It’ and it made me really want to do something to stop or prevent child abuse. Ludacris’s new video ‘Runaway Love’ really influenced me too.
Doing something for the victims in the shelters is easy, but they’re already saved. I want to help the other children who really need it.
I know it’s a lot to ask and there’s no real way to stop it. But there has to be something I can do. And I have a whole troop supporting me and 4 years to do it.
And by the way, I can’t fundraise.
Any ideas are appreciated.
Thanks!
I just wanted to add that I live in a city where there is definately child abuse present. No doubt.
Thanks for your ideas guys, it really helps.

No one should make fun of you for being in Girl Scouts, regardless of your age. I think it’s wonderful. You can always do an education program by gathering information and passing out pamplets, holding seminars/classes, and speaking at places like schools. You could inform people what to look for (symptoms of child abuse) and how to report it.
