What Are Your Thoughts on Drug Addiction?

Please tell me your opinion on drug addiction! As a person who has battled it for a while and now clean and sober I would like to hear your thoughts and opinions… Is it a disease? Do you stero type drug addicts? Why do you think they became an addict? woudl you have af irend who was a drug addict in recovery? and so on…. Thanks 🙂
