Ind. offers grants for court improvement programs

When the state launched its Drug Abuse Resistance Education initiative in 1987, nearly all of 351 cities and towns eagerly adopted the program. But a budget crunch and suggestions that DARE’s methods are ineffective drove the state to cut its funding in 2004.
