War on drugs rages on
If wars are only fought to be won, one of the biggest fights on U.S. soil might want to change its name. In 1970, President Richard Nixon signed the Comprehensive Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Act, to combat use of substances of the time such as marijuana and LSD. The following year he put a name on it — the “War on Drugs.”
