2 women booked in smuggling try
LIVINGSTON — Two women were arrested for allegedly attempting to smuggle crystal methamphetamine inside a Bible to a Walker man jailed in the Livingston Parish Detention Center, deputies said.

District Court busy with arraignments
North Platte Telegraph Several people appeared in Lincoln County District Court Monday morning to be arraigned on charges ranging from drug distribution to child abuse.

Thousands of pills collected
About 17,000 pills — 25 pounds — were collected at Dump the Drugs Day on May 8. Liquid medicines and inhalers were also collected at the event for disposal.
