Young minds donât know what is good or what is bad for them. They feel that whatever they do is right and other people are wrong. Some even cause harm to themselves at this young age by taking high dosage of drugs. You would be wondering why they would take the support of drugs when complete freedom is given to them. Many studies have been conducted to know the reasons behind the teenage drug addiction. Some of the common reasons suggested by them include peer pressure, sexual victimization, learning or emotional problems, emotional instability, inconsistent or severe parental discipline, or distressing situations. Sometimes, unknowingly become a victim of drug abuse.

Stage 4

Here the adolescents get highly intoxicated and they develop many health problems. Even they react violently or behave abnormally.

Stage 5

This is the final stage where teens, behave normally only upon taking the high dosage. Here they are at high risk behaviors and become vulnerable to suicide and homicidal thoughts.

Solution: If one is identified with the risk of drug abuse in stage 1 then preventative measures are suggested. The youth is given completely educated about the effects and risks of drugs. At the other stages, the problem is solved and handled with care. They are treated intensely by using a combination of medicines, and family support. The body is completely detoxified and prevented measures are suggested.
