Ind. offers grants for court improvement programs
INDIANAPOLIS – The state says up to $290,000 in grant money is available for projects intended to help children and families involved in child abuse and neglect proceedings.

When the state launched its Drug Abuse Resistance Education initiative in 1987, nearly all of 351 cities and towns eagerly adopted the program. But a budget crunch and suggestions that DARE’s methods are ineffective drove the state to cut its funding in 2004.
