Prescription drug abuse can ‘ruin lives’
Natalie started abusing prescription drugs at 14 with a Vicodin caplet her friend had pilfered from her mother’s medicine cabinet. It wasn’t long before the Rockland County girl, now 16, was taking two pills during third period and another one before the end of the school day, she said.

Students learn a sobering lesson
If seeing is really believing, then the seventh grade Liberty and Lincoln Middle School students got a big dose of “believing” this week when BJC Health Educator Kyle Klosterman showed the students a diseased human heart, lung, liver and stomach to drive the point home how alcohol and drug abuse affects our health and kills our organs.
