Should We Have Laws Against Adultery?
Question by gary g: Should we have laws against adultery?
Isn’t stealing someones spouse, worse than stealing someones money. Isn’t the family unit the foundation of our society? The family, the children and society at large are all victims of adultery. Most of our laws are based on morality. Stealing, killing, lying in court, vandalism, drug abuse, etc., are all immoral. We are watching our society disintegrate because of the breakdown of the family. Why shouldn’t we punish adultery like any other crime that has horrific consequenses on individuals and on society.
Amber: lying, cheating and stealing are also forms of expression. If I was just expressing my anger when I killed someone, would I be exonerated off all charges. People are going a little too far with this freedom of expression right.

a great as that would be, it’s a hard thing to prove and I think to punish one would be like a violation of the first amendment “freedom of expression” clause.
