An interview featuring Sade in what looks like 1984-1985. The video has been featured on youtube before and garnered interest among commentators that – because of her strange mannerisms – she was supposedly high on cocaine during the interview. I suspect that these are simply natural mannerisms on her part. She clearly has an oral fixation. Probably this stems from her having very big and sensual lips that are very responsive to touch and sensation. This causes her to play with them unconsciously. Also she features here a nervous tick of licking the top fronts of her upper teeth. This is done to wipe away smeared lipstick. This may show some things: 1. She has worked in this behavior to an almost pattern like frequency due to her famously heavy application of vibrant red lipstick. With so much on her lips it may have a tendency to smear easily which she seems to have a working history of doing in her life judging by how unconsciously she licks her teeth as though by long standing habit. 2. Her continuous frequency of doing this alludes to her level of self conscious awareness; she is very aware of how she looks and thinks of her appearance frequently. By cleaning away the lipstick from her teeth she is constantly checking and fixing how she looks. That she would do this so often suggests that she is equally often thinking of the way she looks and appears to others. 3.
