A family member is going through methadone addiction and has heard of rapid detox. He is very excited about the possibility of a quicker rehab, but I have found information that online that indicates it might not be all it is cracked up to be.

The critical thing here is that there is no such thing as ‘detox’. It’s a made-up term that means nothing.

The claims made by the people that push this is of a “100% success rate”. As nothing is ever 100% successful, you really have to ask yourself why these companies need to lie to get customers.

There is absolutely no peer-reviewed evidence that this stuff works; I’m sure you don’t want your family member to be part of an ‘experiment’.
