A proposed addictions treatment centre is being met with resistance from nearby businesses concerned about it being planned near the southeast side of Winnipeg, near Tinkertown in the RM of Springfield.

Addictions Centre Move To Face Political Opposition
The Reeve of the RM of Springfield is strongly opposed to an application to have an addictions treatment centre built next to Tinkertown, Fun Mountain, and an RV Park. In a statement, Peter Skrupski told CJOB, the centre would not be compatible with the area and existing residents.
