Joliet man convicted of killing woman in front of her daughter
A Will County jury today convicted a Joliet man of gunning down a woman in front of her daughter in December 2008. Anthony Matthews, 47, of the 200 block of 1st Avenue was found guilty of first-degree murder for the killing of LaDeana Hite, 35, in the early-morning hours of Dec. 14 at her home in unincorporated Joliet Township.
