Board makes moves with eye on saving costs
Keeping an eye on savings costs the Schuylkill County commissioners approved a lighting upgrade project for three buildings and entered into an agreement with a consulting firm to find ways to reduce costs of the many maintenance agreements the county is involved, in action taken at the public meeting held Wednesday at the courthouse in Pottsville.

A troubled young woman walked into a professional agency sometime around 1996 to 1998 looking to talk with someone because she was terrified by what she knew about the death of 16-year-old Kimberly Simon roughly 10 years earlier, investigators said Thursday.
