Lexapro Withdrawal?????

Question by spark: Lexapro withdrawal?????
I’ve been taking Lexapro 20mg everyday for about 5 months now. My refills on the perscription ran out so the pharmacy had to fax my doctor confirming that I needed more. I’ve been without it for about 2 week. But lately I’ve been feeling alot of pressure in my head and I get dizzy really often. I’m really twitchy and my pulse rate has been ranging from 110-140 whenever I take it. Whenever I hear sharp noises it literally makes me cringe and I feel like I’m going to pass out most of the time. I feel like I need to crack my bones but everytime I do it sends shivers up my spine. I’ve also been alot more stressed than most times, but thats obvious why. I think I should be getting it a couple days from now, but the side effects are simply agonizing. Is there anything to do that will make it subside besides the medicine itself for now?

Sounds like you need the Lexapro and that you are experiencing some withdrawal symptoms. Start back on your prescription as soon as possible considering the fact you still need it for the reason it was originally prescribed. You can take some Benadryl in the meantime, provided you take Benadryl without problems. Follow the package instructions and be aware that Benadryl can make you sleepy so that you may only want to take a dose at bedtime. Good luck and sorry to hear you are feeling so bad.
