Marietta Soldier Killed In Afghanistan
MARIETTA, Ga. — A soldier from Marietta has died in Afghanistan. Department of Defense officials Wednesday announced 22-year-old Spc. Jonathan K. Peney died June 1 in Kandahar province. Officials say he died of wounds sustained when he was shot by enemy forces.
