Question by Michael R-4: Is there a 12-step recovery group for Yahoo Answer Addicts?
I have become addicted to Yahoo Answers. I stay up from 11 to 3 AM answering political and other questions, venting on people, and getting angry and upset for no good reason. I have had to stave off the Yahoo Answers addiction by doing a number of avoidance tactics, including reading and other things in bed rather than get started on Yahoo Answers. I have stayed up till three in the morning answering and asking questions, clicking back and forth, etc. I am not a loser. I have a Ph.D. and am writing a book, but Y/A may kill me. I have had trouble sleeping when I stay away from it. Is there something about this forum that is addicting? Do you feel it too? What can I do about it? Is there a 12-step recovery group for Y/A addicts?
