The town of Okanogan was totally deserted, and very eerily so. The liveliest place in the whole town was the gas station. As an indication of where the town is going, there is no longer a grocery store in this town of 2,200. We later heard from folks upstream in Riverside that Okanogan is having a very tough time with gang violence and meth addiction.
