Question by Abigail: how hard is heroin to come off?
I have never used drugs, but my friend used heroin, crack, amphetamines, valium the works for 17 years and is now in detox. How hard is it to succesfully change your life in this position. he always feels strange and lonely in this world without drugs, how can I help him??

Any addictive drug is hard to give up.

Your friend might benefit from some positive cognitive therapy to help focus on the good things in kife rather than the bad.
