Question by QA: How can you convince a drug addict to go to rehab?
A very old freind of mine is addicted to meth, and her only real friend shes has, has been trying to get her to go. Every time we brought it up to her she got very angry and ran away.I will personally pay for her rehabilitation, I can’t let her die like this her boyfriend got her addicted to and, and they say he is pimping her out to people. This guy has beat her countless time and she still keeps running back to him for more dope. I really don’t want to see her die like this and this is very serous I have no other place to turn too but I hope someone has done this before

Well, situations like his, IMO, you can’t do anything. Unfortunately, this person is obviously having a blast getting beat up and doing drugs, so why stop something you are having fun with? If you get what I mean.

Hm… The only thing I would do is just let the person know what its doing to them, yourself, the people around. Or maybe you have like a hotline? Or call the police or something, so the boyfriend gets busted and they can force her into rehab?

Or maybe they can’t do that. But if I was you, I wouldn’t waste my time trying to help someone, who isn’t prepared to help themselves. Not to say I wouldn’t try, but I can only put enough effort in, until I believe there is nothing more I can do.

Which in his situation, sounds like it to me.
