Amid evidence that alcohol and drug abuse costs exceed cancer and obesity, managed care provider Magellan Health Services in Avon rolled out nationally this week a program that uses medication to treat heavy drinkers and other drug abusers.

Student designs poster to educate people about prescription drug abuse
A Grayling High School Senior lent her talents to a task force focused on stopping the spread of prescription drug abuse. Kelsey Neuberger designed a poster for the Crawford Partnership for Substance Abuse Awareness, which says, “This Sharing is Not Caring: Stop Prescription Drug Abuse.”
