The Racy Gossip Girl Ad was released to herald the beginning of this popular soap that begins its 3rd season on Sep 1, 2009. The plot of this series revolves around the life of young adult socialites who belong to the top-notch society. They attend a private faculty and experience everything from teenage risks to drug addiction, sex to relations in the fast lane. These youngsters live and grow in the upper East Side of New York. The series comprises of twelve main characters and the story weaves around their lives. The cast and crew of this series are young, sassy, and full of talent. Gossip girl has received top ratings and positive reviews from fans since it started in September of 2007. This series is reliant on the book written by Cecily von Ziegesar. An unknown personality, said by Kristen Bell, narrates each episode of Gossip Girl.
Since it became a huge hit, the creators of this series decided to launch an advertisement that would grab the entire spotlight. They succeeded in doing so by displaying advertisements that featured the cast of Gossip Girl in a raunchy act. This ad indeed grabbed attentions and made everyone sit up straight and take notice of it.
Fogeys and certain social groups opposed this ad to be a bad effect on babies and youngsters alike. The posters that were displayed had abbreviations of a filthy slang term. Critics and paperspapers have named this advert campaign as evil, inappropriate and a nightmare to each parent.
While others have raised an opposition that it is the wrong approach. there was a mixed opinion about these advertisements. Some think that they are edgy, racy and fun, while others think that it is indecorous and an inappropriate way to grab attention.
It is not the first time that promos of television series have gotten folks chatting. There have been many issues and Gossip Girl ad campaign is the latest. Members of the fogeys television Council have raised opposition against the racy ad campaign and have the opinion that it undermines the positive values that folks are trying to instill in their youngsters.
