Does the Military Really Worry About Drugs These Days?

Question by Chillin n Grillin: Does the military really worry about drugs these days?
I’m a bit concerned that one of these days a random test will show up marijuana, cocaine, lsd, amphetamines and a couple of other things I may have taken last Saturday by mistake.

Can I expect that given we’re in the 21st century that it won’t be a big issue or will they still get uptight about this stuff?
Does it make a difference if I say I am in the military?

i believe they do worry about drugs but not in such a manor that it is done more frequently. there should be more tests but the big importance on it is to check every time they go to a station or come back from leave and when they join. and no drugs are taken by mistake, you know the risks and if you persue it then thats your fault not the drug tests fault or the armys fault
